Delete your Rebornly account
You can delete your Rebornly account in the app, or ask us by email if you cannot use the app.
In the app
- Open your Profile and tap Settings, the gear at the top.
- Tap Account, then Delete account.
- If you want a copy of your data, tap Download your data first. It cannot be downloaded once deletion has started.
- Tap Continue to verification, enter your password and tap Verify password, then tap Delete my account.
If your account is suspended or closed, the app shows you Your Account Status, and Delete account is there too.
From then on your account is locked on every device while Rebornly deletes it. This cannot be undone.
Without the app
Email support@rebornlyapp.com from the email address your Rebornly account uses, and ask for the account to be deleted. We reply to that address to confirm with you before the account is deleted.
What is deleted or taken down
- Your profile is removed. Where you appear in other members' records, such as their messages, you are shown as "Deleted user".
- Your Home cards and comments are taken down.
- Your Circles threads and replies lose their title, text and photos, and each shows that its author has left Rebornly.
- The Dolls you still hold disappear from Rebornly, and your notes and their Today and About texts are deleted.
- The photos you added are deleted, also on Dolls you have handed over, except those kept as listed under What is kept.
- Your Journey entries and Vault documents are deleted, except what you have already handed over with a Doll.
- Your WIP journals and their steps are deleted. Your sculpts and kits are taken off Rebornly.
- A kit request that is still waiting ends: one you sent is withdrawn, and one sent to you is declined.
- An open question about a Doll, asked by you or of you, is closed because your account is closed.
- Your For Sale and swap listings end, and your wishlist and grails are deleted.
- Your open swaps are cancelled, and what you wrote in them is deleted.
- You are signed out everywhere, and the account can never be signed in to again. Your username is never used again.
What is kept
- Messages you sent stay with the people you sent them to. Photos in them are deleted.
- Dolls you have handed over stay with their new owners. Their history shows that an earlier owner closed their account, and the transfer receipt from that handover still shows your username.
- Memories and photos you gave a new owner with a Doll stay with them, and so do Vault documents in a handover they accepted.
- If you have confirmed an artist credit on a Doll, that credit keeps the name you confirmed.
- In a swap, the other member keeps what they wrote and that the swap took place.
- Questions about a Doll and kit requests stay with the other member as a record, with their new status, and so does what was written in a question.
- The text of your Home cards and comments is kept out of sight, so that reports and moderation decisions about them still have what they refer to.
- A Circles post that a moderator is still looking into keeps its words and its photos for that moderator until the case is decided.
- Records of reports, moderation decisions and appeals, and of the terms and rules you accepted.
